HDC Solutions and LEC Enter Long-Term Strategic Partnership for Resilient Energy Systems
Graz, June 1, 2025 – HDC Solutions GmbH and LEC GmbH are joining forces to set a new standard for energy resilience in critical infrastructures (KRITIS) with a software solution. The partnership combines scientific research and practical system integration to provide operators of energy and utility systems with security in an increasingly unstable world.
“In a time when natural disasters, power outages, and geopolitical tensions are becoming a reality even for us, relying solely on emergency generators is no longer enough. What is needed are holistic solutions that continue to function in emergencies,” emphasizes Philipp Czasch, CEO and Co-Founder of HDC Solutions, as well as a volunteer mentor and expert at the NATO DIANA Defense Accelerator.
The modular software solution is based on the LEC-developed simulation environment LEC ENERsim and enables adaptive analysis and control of complex energy systems—from individual sites to networked infrastructures. From initial design to multidimensional real-time optimization, the platform explicitly supports operators of security-critical facilities and military-relevant areas in making their infrastructure crisis-proof and efficient:
-
Adaptive autonomy models for different scenarios
-
Crisis-resistant architecture for emergencies
-
Scalable and adaptable solutions for civilian and military applications
An application expansion of the platform for military units in their operations and military camps is already in planning.
“Resilience and autonomy are becoming strategic necessities. With this partnership, we are delivering a flexible, scalable solution that creates a real capability transformation for industrial, governmental, and military customers,” Czasch continues.
The collaboration between HDC Solutions and LEC builds on already successfully completed research and development projects and leverages the expertise of both partners: While LEC continues its role as a research-driven innovation center for sustainable energy systems, HDC Solutions takes over the strategic product development, validation, and sales with consulting and support.
According to Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Thomas Jauk, CEO of LEC, the partnership with HDC Solutions represents an important impetus for the further development of ENERsim as well as access to new markets such as defense and the security and defense industry (SVI). “This partnership is a real milestone for us—more will follow,” adds Philipp Czasch.
Strong alliance for the resilience of energy systems: Philipp Czasch (HDC Solutions) and Thomas Jauk (LEC) seal the collaboration.
